Process for removal of hybrid milfoil

Use gallon size heavy duty/freezer ziplock bags.
Fill the bag with water.
Pull the filled bag down over the entire plant - the plant folds easily into the bag.
After pulling the bag to the bottom or base of the plant, push the ground around the base of the plant into the bag to get the entire root/with mud (usually).
Under the water - turn the bag right side up.
Close the bag to keep any fragments from floating free in the water.
Carry closed bag to shore. Dump it more than 20 feet from the water, or ...
Dump all material into a container on a boat and dispose of weeds and all other matter away from the lake.

Be sure the ziplock bag is totally clean of little plant fragments. When an area has been pulled search top of water for any free floating fragments. A fragment as small as once inch can start a new plant.

Reminder - Hybrid Milfoil has a pink/redish top and the stem is also pink at the top of the plant - very feathery and distinct appearance from the top of the water.
